*EP/Cath Lab - The Heart Hospital *(1400 Eighth Ave, Fort Worth, 76104) *Shift/Schedule: *PRN/Days | One 10hr shift (7a-5:30p) *Call: *None *Experience Requirements: *Must have 2yr Cath Lab and/or EP Lab RN experience. * * *Patient Population: *Adult Cardiology, Electrophysiology and Vascular patients. *Patient Ratios: *EP/Cath Lab team comprised of RN's and Rad Techs working in 3-4 person teams to manage procedural patient care, collaborating with proceduralist and anesthesia providers. *Number of Beds: *5 total invasive cardiology labs, including 2 electrophysiology labs. *Department Specifics:* The EP/Cath Lab, working in conjunction with Baylor All Saints, is the only hospital in Tarrant count providing a full spectrum of Cardiology services, including LVAD, ECMO, E-CPR, TAVR, MitraClip and advanced heart failure programs. Over 1800 invasive cardiology procedures per year and over 800 electrophysiology and cardiac implantations per year. Note: Benefits may vary based on position type and/or level *Job Summary* The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional. The RN uses the BSWH nursing model to coordinate patient care. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient and identifies nursing diagnoses. The RN develops and implements an individualized care plan and evaluates the patient's response. The RN promotes safe passage for patients by using knowledge of patient needs. The RN helps patients transition through healthcare without preventable complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to healthcare personnel based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act. Delegation also considers each patient's condition and the employee's competencies. *Essential Functions of the Role* * Clinical Judgment: Using clinical reasoning, conducts accurate assessments according to standards.
